FC Pune City’s Diego Carlos suspended for two additional matches

FC Pune City forward Diego Carlos de Olivera (jersey no. 20) has been suspended for three matches and fined Rs 2,00,000/- (INR Two Lakhs) for breach of AIFF Disciplinary Code Article 48 ‘Serious Infringements’ and Article 49 ‘Misconduct against opponents or persons other than match officials’.

Carlos was shown a direct red card for a bad foul on FC Goa’s Seriton Fernandes during the Hero ISL match between FC Goa and FC Pune City on Sunday, 28th October 2018.

The AIFF Disciplinary Committee, based on the referee’s report, has sanctioned a further two-match suspension and the financial penalty in addition to the one match automatic suspension for the red card.

Carlos has already served one suspension in Match 26 against Kerala Blasters FC played on 2nd November. In light of the new sanction, he will be unavailable for selection for FC Pune City’s home match against Chennaiyin FC on 6th November and their away match against ATK on 10th November.
