Bethlehem Vengthlang FC relegated from Mizoram Premier League

Bottom strugglers Bethlehem Vengthlang FC could not avoid the drop as their fate was sealed on Friday afternoon after a goalless draw between Ramhlun North FC and Chawnpui FC.

Ramhlun North FC had needed a point to stave off direct relegation threat and give themselves a chance to stay on in the relegation playoff spot. They earned their point in an even battle with new MPL side Chawnpui FC who finished 6th in the league.

Bethlehem Vengthlang FC faced league leaders Chhinga Veng FC with their future already decided on Saturday evening at AR Lammual.

A hattrick from M.S. Dawngliana and a stoppage time strike from Hmingthanmawia ensured a comprehensive victory for the defending champions.

Chhinga Veng FC finished at the top of the table after the league stage with 32 points.
