Bardez FC draw with Panjim Footballers in Goa Pro League

Bardez Football Club were unlucky to make the maximum out of the man advantage against 10-man Panjim Footballers as they played out a goalless draw in the Goa Pro League match played at Duler Stadium, Mapusa, on Friday.

Both the teams started the match on equal footing and witnessed hardly any actions. More than the goal-scoring chances, the match witnessed tackles and fouls, including five yellow cards and a red.

Panjim Footballers’ Snedden Rodrigues continued to put up impressive performances, but the striker lacks support from his teammates. Panjim Footballers had their chances, but their players either shot wide or hit straight at the keeper.

After a barren half, nothing was expected in the second half as both teams, had earlier struggled to find the net in the previous games, showed no urgency to find the breakthrough.

With time ticking, the tackles started flowing and in this bargain, Panjim Footballers’ Prasil Kankonkar was sent off for his second booking. Despite being a man down Panjim Footballers stood tall and guarded their citadel to walk away with a point.
