Kerala Blasters sign another India junior in Nongdamba Naorem

Indian Super League (ISL) franchise Kerala Blasters FC have confirmed the signing of another India junior in Nongdamba Naorem from Minerva Punjab FC in summer 2019 on a three year contract.

18-year-old Nongdamba Naorem leaves Punjab for Kerala on a Rs 1 million (10 lakhs) transfer fee.

The winger was part of the India U-17s at the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup and thereafter last season played for the AIFF Developmental side Indian Arrows.

There Naorem scored the best goal of the 2017/18 season, a Messi-like solo dribbling run through the Shillong Lajong FC lines to score for the Indian Arrows at the Ambedkar Stadium in Delhi.

Nongdamba Naorem becomes the third Manipuri youth product after Dheeraj Singh and Jeakson Singh to join the Kerala Blasters, who were also his team-mates in the India U-17 national team.
