Liverpool star Mohamed Salah named CAF Player of the Year 2018

Liverpool FC and Egypt star Mohamed Salah has won the CAF Player of the Year award at the CAF Awards 2018.

Salah won Africa’s top individual award ahead of club-mate Sadio Mane and 2015 winner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Achraf Hakimi (Borussia Dortmund & Morocco) won the CAF Youth Player of the Year award, while Chrestinah Thembi Kgatlana (Houston Dash & South Africa) received the CAF Women’s Player of the Year.

The winners in the various categories received their awards at the CAF Awards Gala on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 in Dakar, Senegal.
