German Women’s Cup (DFB-Pokal der Frauen) Round 2 draw carried out

The DFB-Pokal der Frauen (German Women’s Cup) Round 2 draw took place on Friday. The draw was carried out by Germany U-17 WNT head coach Friederike Kromp during the half-time of the 2nd Division Women’s Bundesliga opening match betweem 1. FC Saarbrücken and SV Werder Bremen.

A total of 17 teams had advanced from Round 1 to join all the twelve teams from the Women’s Bundesliga and the three best teams from the 2nd Division Women’s Bundesliga (1. FC Köln, FF USV Jena and SV Meppen) who had a first round bye.

Women’s Bundesliga champions and reigning cup winners VfL Wolfsburg will travel to Regionalliga (4th Division) side SV Berghofen, while last year’s losing finalists SC Freiburg face another Regionalliga club in FC Forstern.

The Round 2 matches will take place on September 7/8.
