Manchester United officials visit East Bengal ahead of potential friendly

English Premier League record champions Manchester United have send a delegation of four officials on a fact finding mission to South Asia for potential friendly pre-season games.

After visiting Bangladesh capital Dhaka, the group has been in Kolkata checking out the Saltlake Stadium as a potential venue as well as East Bengal as potential opponent as part of their centenary celebrations.

East Bengal have handed in a proposal for a pre-season friendly and the red and gold welcomed Allen J. Dawson (Football Director), Christopher L. Komen and other officials at their Maidan home.

The Manchester United officials also held discussions with East Bengal secretary Kalyan Majumdar and senior Executive Committee member Debabrata Sarkar in respect of the proposed match.
