Aizawl FC make four signings in winter transfer window

Former I-League champions Aizawl FC have made four local signings in winter transfer window to strengthen their squad ahead of the remainder of the 2019/20 season.

Amongst the signings are goalkeeper Zothanmawia, defender Lalthlahlova, winger Ramhlunchhunga and forward M.C. Malsawmzuala.

22 year old Zothanmawia returns to Aizawl FC for whom he has played four seasons after playing the 2019 Mizoram Premier League for Chhinga Veng FC. In his youth, Zothanmawia had played for the Chandigarh Football Academy before returning to play for Dinthar FC in MPL-1 in 2012.

Also joining from Chhinga Veng FC is Lalthlahlova, one of the best defenders in the MPL as well as experienced 26 year old striker M.C. Malsawmzuala who top scored 12 goals in MPL-9.

The fourth and final signing comes from Electric Veng FC in young talented winger Ramhlunchhunga, one of the brightest young talent of the MPL-9.

These four players have been added to the Aizawl FC squad for the ongoing 2019/20 I-League and are replacing four Aizawl Academy boys, who have been part of their squad so far.
