The Belgian Jupiler Pro League has officially cancelled the 2019-20 season because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The decision was finally ratified by the Pro League’s general assembly on Friday, May 15.
Club Bruges have been declared Belgian champions. They had a 15-point lead over rivals Gent with one match left when the season was suspended.
Waasland-Beveren will be relegated while Gent will enter next season’s UEFA Champions League, with Charleroi, Royal Antwerp and Standard Liege in the UEFA Europa League.
