Bananenflanker Legenden announce virtual Legends Day to raise funds for amateur clubs

German charity football team Bananenflanker Legenden have launched online ticket sales for a virtual Legends Day (Legendentag) to raise funds for amateur clubs who have been suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The fundraiser aims to collect as many donations as possible through tickets sales for their annual Legends Day. This year’s Legends Day had to be cancelled because of COVID-19. The organisers have decided to conduct a virtual Legends Day instead and to forward the proceeds from the ticket sales to amateur clubs in the German state of Bavaria.
