Manchester City agree regional partnership with Capstone Games

Manchester City have agreed a new regional partnership with mobile game developer, Capstone Games, who will become the Club’s Official Casual Mobile Game Partner in Asia Pacific, North America and the United Kingdom.

Capstone Games develops high quality games that put the gamer in the role of the football manager.

Using cutting edge gaming technology to bring their games to life, they published their first official game back in 2017, titled ‘Champions Manager Mobasaka’ and achieved more than two million downloads within the first year.

Capstone Games will be using its expertise to develop a City-themed manager-style mobile game featuring players, kits and the Etihad Stadium.

The game, which marks another entry in Capstone’s football series, will allow fans to test their managerial skills across various exciting competitions and gameplays.

It will launch later in 2020 and will be available across all iOS and Android devices.

“We are thrilled to be working with Capstone Games who have a number of exciting plans in the pipeline,” said Omar Berrada, Chief Operating Officer for Manchester City.

“Manchester City has a strong digital-first strategy that applies to everything we do, so collaborating with an innovative partner like Capstone and engaging with their community of gamers is a great fit for us.”

This partnership builds on the Club’s established gaming offering, which includes two professional esports players and esports teams in China and South Korea, who regularly represent City in key FIFA tournaments around the world.
