Mizoram FA mourns the death of former ExCo member Francis Paul

The Mizoram Football Association (MFA) is deeply saddened by the passing of its former Executive Committee member Francis Paul this morning in Aizawl.

A passionate figure in the Mizo football fraternity, Francis Paul served as the manager for the 2008 Mizoram Sub-Junior (U-16) Football Team who enjoyed a successful campaign in the 31st National Football Championships for Mir Iqbal Hussain Trophy, Mahilpur, Punjab.

He is also among the first trainers under the Grassroots Football initiative taken up by the Mizoram Football Association along with FIFA, AFC and AIFF, and he was integral in the Mizoram Football Association being named the Best Grassroots Development Programme for 2014-15 by the All India Football Federation. He is also an AIFF ‘D’ License holder in football coaching.

The Mizoram Football Association mourns this untimely loss and offers its most sincere condolences to his friends and family.
