FC Barcelona part ways with head coach Quique Setién

Spanish giants FC Barcelona have parted ways with their head coach Quique Setién on Monday evening.

“The Board of Directors have agreed that Quique Setién is no longer the first team coach. This is the first decision within a wider restructuring of the first team which will be agreed between the current technical secretary and the new coach, who will be announced in the coming days,” the club stated in an official club release.

Setién took charge of Barça’s on January 13, 2020 to coach the first team in 25 matches in all competitions (LaLiga, Copa del Rey and UEFA Champions League).

FC Barcelona have confirmed talks with Netherlands national coach Ronald Koeman to become their new head coach.
