Churchill Brothers sign defender Keenan Almeida

Former I-League champions Churchill Brothers have announced the signing of experienced defender Keenan Almeida for the 2020/21 season.

28 year old Margao-born Keenan Succour Almeida is a youth product of Salgaocar FC, but he made his senior debut at Sporting Clube de Goa, where he spend three seasons.

In 2015, Keenan Almeida joined ISL side FC Goa with time spend on loan with Salgaocar FC and Churchill Brothers. In 2017, Keenan Almeida moved on to Chennaiyin FC, a season later it was FC Pune City before moving on again to Hyderabad FC with a loan spell at Mumbai City FC.

After two seasons mostly out due to two knee injuries, Keenan Almeida moves back to his home state to the Red Machines and explaining his move said, “It’s my comeback season with Churchill Brothers, having played for them before and I am hoping that it’s going to be a comeback in my career too.”
