DFL informs Members Assembly about process for potential investor involvement in DFL subsidiary

As announced in October, DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga yesterday informed Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 clubs of the process regarding potential investor offers in relation to a minority interest in a subsidiary of DFL GmbH.

The next step will be for the DFL to begin the process of analysing offers from private equity firms, according to strategic and financial criteria.

The process is expected to start in February and will conclude in the second quarter of 2021 at the earliest. The findings will be discussed by the Executive Committee of the DFL and the Members Assembly of the 36 professional clubs.

The decision about a potential minority interest will be made by the DFL Members Assembly.
