Austria’s Wolfsberger AC appoint Indian origin Robin Dutt as new head coach

Austrian Bundesliga side Wolfsberger AC have appointed Robin Dutt as their new head coach. The 56-year-old German of Indian origin will join the club this summer ahead of the 2021/22 season.

The Cologne-born Dutt has coached German clubs Stuttgarter Kickers, SC Freiburg, Bayer Leverkusen, Werder Bremen und VfL Bochum in the past. He was also a Board Member at VfB Stuttgart and Sporting Director at the German FA (DFB).

Wolfsberger AC president Dietmar Riegler said, “Robin Dutt was the favourite to coach from the start. In the past we had many good and productive conversations based on a high level of mutual respect. With his great experience and professionalism, he will help us to achieve our goals.”

Robin Dutt said, “Dietmar Riegler (president) and Christian Puff (vice-President) convinced me of this task both personally and sportingly, and I am looking forward to this task.”
