India defender Sandesh Jhingan agrees terms with Croatia’s HNK Šibenik

India international centre-back Sandesh Jhingan seems to finally fulfil his dream of playing club football in Europe by agreeing terms with Croatia top division (Hrvatski Telekom Prva Liga) side HNK Šibenik.

Sandesh Jhingan’s agent Anuj Kichlu has confirmed that terms have been agreed between the player and the club.

Now the work starts of signing on the dotted line before Sandesh can apply for a Croatian work visa and he can then fly to Europe.

Some more work will be needed, but Sandesh is set to finally fulfil his dream.

28 year old Chandigarh-born Sandesh Jhingan came through the St. Stephen Football Academy before joining United Sikkim FC to make his senior debut.

After two years with the Baichung Bhutia owned club, Sandesh moved on to Mumbai FC before being picked up by Kerala Blasters FC in the 2014 ISL draft. He spend six successful years with the Blasters with loan spells for Sporting Clube de Goa, DSK Shivajians FC and Bengaluru FC.

Last year Sandesh Jhingan moved to Kolkata for the first time by joining ATK Mohun Bagan, where he was able to recreate his stellar displays for club and country.

Sandesh Jhingan has made 40 appearances for India and despite being a centre-back, he has scored four goals.
