India gains 24 spots in latest FIFA World Ranking

The Indian national team has gained 24 spots in the latest FIFA World Ranking which has been released today.

Wim Koevermans’ team is now ranked 143rd in the world and 22nd in Asia with 177 points to their account courtesy to the two wins at the 2014 AFC Challenge Cup Qualifiers. Please [+ click here] to get further details on the calculation of the FIFA World Ranking.

The Indian team is flanked by Barbados (142nd) and Gambia (144th), while Afghanistan (141st) has taken over the supremacy in the South Asian region.

Meanwhile, Spain remain at the top of the FIFA World Ranking ahead of Germany, Argentina, England and Italy. Former World Champions Brazil are ranked 18th.

The next FIFA World Ranking will be released on April 11.
