Look at the stands and you will find them full. The Airtel I-League 2013-14 has fans thronging to various Stadia all over the country, so much so, that there has been more a substantial increase in the fan turnout in the first three rounds.

“It’s great to see the crowd cheering from the stands. I’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate the I-League clubs for the manner they have promoted their matches, the results of which are visible,” Sunando Dhar (CEO, I-League) said.

Stats from the first three rounds reveal that Bengaluru FC’s homes matches were sold out for the first three rounds and Shillong Lajong’s second-round home-match against Pune FC (September 29 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium) drew an attendance of 21,500.

“It’s heartening to see that clubs are witnessing full houses in Bangalore, Shillong and Goa. This is a very positive sign. Let’s not forget the big-two from Kolkata are yet to play in Kolkata,” Dhar added.
