Win Lwin: We are fresh, excited and raring to go against Pune FC

A 26-member Nay Pyi Taw FC team arrived in the city on Monday afternoon ahead of their AFC Cup 2014 Group H opener against home-side Pune FC on Wednesday.

The two-stop journey involved a flight from Nay Pyi Taw (Myanmar) to Bangkok (Thailand) before a connecting flight to Delhi.

The Myanmar-side however had to endure a three hour wait at the New Delhi Airport due to delay in their flight to Pune. NPT FC finally reached Pune at 14.00 IST and finished the check in procedure in the Orchid Hotel at 15.30 IST.

Couple hours later, the team had a light training session at the Pune FC Training Pitches in Mamurdi.

Speaking on the sidelines of the session, NPT FC Media Officer Win Lwin said, “We know Pune FC have played in AFC Champions League Play-Off.”

He further added, “Even though are flight got delayed, we are fresh, excited and raring to go.”

The 26-member team including eight officials apart from 18 players is as follows:
