Luis Vicente, Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer, Valencia CF, has confirmed he will be joining Galatasaray board member Ebru Köksal on the ‘Continent of Opportunity’ panel at the Soccerex Asian Forum taking place on 13-14 May at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre, The Dead Sea, Jordan.

One of the biggest and most successful clubs in Spain, Valencia has a global fan base which stretches to all corners of the globe. Competing within a congested market place, however, requires the commercial strategy deployed to be finely tuned so as to allow clubs to expand their international fan base whilst still growing their commercial portfolio at home, a task Vicente has undertaken since joining in October last year as the person responsible for all revenue generation, international growth and brand development.

With over twenty years of experience within the industry, he has managed, worked for and/or advised the likes of Luís Figo, Ronaldo Nazario, Andriy Shevchenko, Roberto Carlos, Manchester City, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Portuguese FA, Red Bull, Ferrari and Lotus.

Soccerex Marketing Director David Wright said: “Luis has honed his commercial skills working for some of the biggest clubs and players in football and will be a fantastic addition to the Forum. Due to his vast experience within the industry he will be able to provide invaluable insights into doing business within the Asian market.”

The Forum will bring together the leading figures from the world of Asian football as well as other international football experts to discuss the development of the game across Asia. Industry leaders already signed up include FIFA Vice-Presidents HRH Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein and David Chung, FIFA Executive Committee members Sunil Gulati and Hany Abu Rida, La Liga President Javier Tebas, AFC Vice-President Moya Dodd and All India Football Federation General Secretary Kushal Das.
