Salgaocar FC will play host to relegation threatened Churchill Brothers SC in a crucial Goan Derby at the Tilak Maidan in Vasco on Monday. The kick-off is scheduled at 17.30 IST.

Churchill Brothers SC are on 22 points from 23 matches and it is a crucial match for the Mariano Dias’ coached side as it is a must win encounter for the Red Machines.

Head coach Mariano Dias will be missing the services of suspended Egyptian midfielder Abdel Hamid Shabana as well as defender Sanjay Balmuchu who is still nursing a quadricep injury picked-up during the AFC Cup match against New Radiant Maldives.

Mariano Dias said, “We are without a few key players for the Salgaocar match. However I have full faith in this team and our boys will go on the pitch tomorrow with the aim to get a victory out of the match.”

Salgaocar FC got the better of the Red Machines in the first-leg fixture with a 1-0 victory.

Churchill Brothers were beaten 2-0 by a confident United SC in their last I-League match while Salgaocar played out an entertaining 3-3 draw against Sporting Clube de Goa.
