Veronika, thank you very much for taking some time for this interview! How are you doing?
Hey, thanks I’m fine! I’m really looking forward to this interview and I was happy when I received the interview enquiry. (smiles)

How did your life change since you won the prestigious Miss Tuning 2014 contest? And how do you see the changes?
Life has indeed changed so much. And I like the changes! I receive so many fan mails, enquiries for autographs and there is an increasing number of new bookings for exciting model jobs.

How did it your application for the Miss Tuning 2014 contest come about? Did you enter the competition on your own interest or did anyone persuade you to take part?
It was my very own motivation to take part in the contest. I didn’t even tell anyone that I would be contesting for the Miss Tuning 2014 title. I just took the next bus and endured a ten hour journey to Lake Constance. My family didn’t know about it before they read the headlines in the media. (smiles)

You are now a popular figure on a national level since winning the Miss Tuning 2014 contest and you happen to appear in various media regularly. How far does it feel surreal to you?
It was really strange for me in the first days and weeks. But you get used to it and it doesn’t feel surreal anymore. I fully enjoy the time and I just take things as they come. It’s important to me to remain the same girl like I used to be before the success story started. It doesn’t matter how successful you are or you are not. It is important to remain true to oneself.

You travelled to Kenya for an exciting photo shoot a couple of weeks ago. Please tell us more about the shooting and the purpose of the same.
I had the best time of my life in Kenya! We were there to shoot the pictures for the Miss Tuning Calendar 2015. We used different motifs for the various months and there was a special focus on the details. And the scenery was just incredible. You can’t explain it with any words.

So is the Miss Tuning Calendar 2015 already available commercially? Where can your fans buy the calendar?
Yes, the Miss Tuning Calendar 2015 is available commercially since October 2. But it’s a limited edition of 1,500 calendars and you can buy it exclusively on the official website of the Tuning World Bodensee [+ Click here to buy the calendar].

How did you start your career as a model? Did this industry always have a special attraction to you?
Yes, it always had special fascination to me. I loved to have a look at the models in catalogues as a kid and I thought they were really pretty. But it was just a coincidence that I became a model. I had always fun in photography and one day I received my first job offer. I just thought: ‘Wow, I can turn my hobby into my job!’ And it still works for me… (smiles)

What was your very first job as a model?
Hmmm… I think my first real job was a wedding shooting for a German company. We had a two-day shooting and it was quite exhausting. But nevertheless I had a lot of fun.

Which shooting would you consider as your personal all-time highlight in your professional career?
My highlight is definitely my shooting for the Miss Tuning Calendar 2015 in Kenya last summer. The scenery has just overwhelmed me.

How would a shooting look like, if you had the chance to make one wish for a shooting of your choice? What would be the motifs and where would the shooting take place?
I would choose a bikini shooting for a big campaign. And the shooting would take place somewhere on the Maldives. (smiles)

What’s next for you? What can your fans expect from you in the coming weeks and months?
I can’t reveal my next projects right now, but I can promise my fans that they will get to see many new photographs and most probably a few videos. I will keep everyone posted on my Facebook page [+ Visit Veronika’s Facebook page].
