Mumbai FC will look to continue with their great form against Dena Bank as they resume their MDFA Elite Division campaign this Wednesday. A win tomorrow will mean that Mumbai FC go two points clear at the top of the table ahead of second placed customs who were held back by Air India in a 1-1 draw.

The Mumbai FC forwards have been prolific with nine goals in the first two games and they will be looking to maintain their supremacy against Dena Bank.

Head coach Khalid Jamil opined, “It’s been a good start ofcourse. Every competition we participate in is important to us. The boys have a good mentality. They want to win every game that comes their way. At the end of the day we require a ‘team’ and not just a set of individuals. I am happy to see the players are gelling well with each other.”

Dena Bank come into the game with just one point from two games. Nevertheless, with players like Arif and Sajid Ansari in the middle, one should expect a tough midfield battle between the two sides.

Mumbai FC defender Kali Alaudeen who has started in both MDFA Elite Division matches said, “We have had a couple of solid performances. Obviously we were a bit disappointed that we conceded two goals against UBI. I feel we could’ve had a clean sheet. Although I am happy about the fact that the team is communicating well on the pitch.”

The match will be played at The Cooperage at 15.30 IST.
