Praful Patel re-elected WIFA President

The Western India Football Association (WIFA) have re-elected Praful Patel as President of the governing body of football in Maharashtra during the 66th WIFA Ordinary General Meeting at The Cooperage Stadium on Saturday. Souter Vaz retained his positions as WIFA Honorary Secretary as Patel and Vaz were elected unopposed.

MLA Sameer Meghe and Haresh K. Vora, both from Nagpur, were among the five elected as Vice-Presidents of WIFA besides sitting Vice-Presidents, Viswajeet Kadam (Pune), Maloje Raje Chhatrapati (Kolhapur) and Syed Liaquat Hussain (Aurangabad), all retained their posts as they were re-elected.

Pyarelal Choudhary (Pune) will continue as Treasurer, while Kiran Chougule (Solhapur), Salim Parkote (Latur) and Sushil Kumar Surve (Amravati) were elected Assistant Secretaries.
