Iain Hume returns to the Kerala Blasters for ISL Season 4

The leading goalscorer in the history of the Indian Super League (ISL), Iain Hume has left champions ATK to return to the Kerala Blasters FC ahead of the .

33 year old Scottish-born Canadian international Iain Hume, the all time Indian Super League top scorer with 23 goals, is the most successful foreigner to play so far in the ISL and he was a fan favourite both at the Kerala Blasters in season one and then at ATK in season two and three.

Speaking about his return to the Blasters and his feelings, Iain Hume said, “It’s a great feeling, as I’m sure everyone knows I’ve always had good feelings for the club. Left the last time under a bit of a cloud from a previous regime, bit over the moon to return and try a right a few wrongs.”

For the Kerala Blasters the signing of Iain Hume shows their intent to try and finally win the ISL crown.

Hume joins the Blasters from champions ATK to fulfil the wish of the Blasters fans of becoming finally champions. “Of course that is every player and teams aim, going into a season. But as the team is essentially a whole new team again. It will be important to start strongly. If we can do that, then confidence and support will push us on to achieve whatever we can.”
