Chennaiyin FC player-cum-coach Marco Materazzi is hoping for a win as his side travel to Pune to take on FC Pune City in a Hero Indian Super League (ISL) match on Tuesday.

“Tomorrow is a very important game for us as we have the chance to go top at the end of the first phase,” Materazzi told at the pre-match conference on Monday. “Pune City are a quality side and they showed that by winning away at Atletico de Kolkata in their last game.”

“The first draw against Atletico de Kolkata felt good as we scored late in the game but the last match we should have won. However the mood is still very positive in the squad so we are aiming for maximum points.”

The 2006 FIFA World Cup winner also highlighted the importance of Brazilian star Elano to his team. “He is a very important player for us. We have other quality players also like Bruno Pelissari and Cristian Hidalgo.”

“But Elano of course is class. Not everybody gets more than 50 caps for Brazil. Hopefully he will maintain his great goal-scoring form in the ISL,” the Italian signed off.
