Mumbai FC will look to continue their good start to the new  MDFA Elite Division League season as they prepare to take on PIFA Colaba at The Cooperage Football Stadium on Friday. A win tomorrow will mean Mumbai FC will go on to make it three wins from three games.

The first two games have shown that the team has a positive aura around it. With a new found fluency in attack and a tight defense, Mumbai might just be looking at a new found playing style.

Midfielder Cletus Paul who scored a brace in the first league game against Union Bank, also echoed the same views. Paul said, “The team is hoping for a strong season, and playing at Cooperage with the fans backing us just motivates us to perform better”. As for his personal aspirations, Cletus hopes to break into the Indian U-23 national team and also make a name for himself in this year’s Hero I-League.

On the other hand our opponents PIFA Colaba have struggled to put up a good show, with their last three games resulting in defeats. But as the saying goes, “they might be down, but never count them out”.

With the season still young and players yet to reach their peak fitness we can expect more fire works from our front line in the upcoming games.
