Portuguese referee Pedro Poença has been appointed by UEFA to officiate the UEFA Champions League Final between Germany’s FC Bayern Munich and England’s Chelsea FC on Saturday.

The 41-year-old finance manager from Lisbon started his refereeing career in 1988 and he was included to the FIFA referee’s list in 2003.

Poença is also one of the referee’s nominated to officiate in the UEFA EURO 2012.
