The tension is rising in Munich days before the UEFA Champions League final. The German authorities are expecting 30,000 English fans in the German city on Saturday.

The rivalry between English and German football fans is a concern for the German police and authorities. Munich is already full of football fans and there is a danger of escalation, depending on the result of the match.

British authorities have already denied 80 violent English fans a permission to travel to Germany, but the Germans are still expecting about 150 violent fans in the city.

The biggest concerns for the authorities are the official public viewings at the Olympiastadion and the Theresienwiese, besides the many pubs and restaurants in the city, which will be showing the final.

The German police will be assisted by British police men in uniform and plainclothesman.
