Representative of India visits Palestine team in the West Bank

The Representative of India to Palestine B.S. Mubarak visited the Palestine national football team before the team left for India on Sunday.

B.S. Mubarak was welcomed by Palestinian Football Association (PFA) President Jibril Rajoub at the Faisal Al-Husseini International Stadium in Al-Ram, West Bank and both had an interesting discussion on football and the upcoming friendly match at Kochi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on Wednesday (February 6).

The Representative of India met the team and Rajoub has stressed on the importance of discipline, commitment and teamwork. Rajoub has also praised the long diplomatic relations between India and Palestine and he also thanked for India’s support throughout the years.

Adressing the Palestine national team, B.S. Mubarak pointed out that people in India are looking forward to the match and that the same will be a tribute to the strong historical relationship between the two countries. He did also praise the power of sport to create bridges and considered the players as better ambassadors for the country than any other representatives.

B.S. Mubarak has also hopes to see the Indian national team playing a match in Palestine one day to further strengthen the bond between India and Palestine.

Palestine national team skipper Ma’aly Kaware’ thanked B.S. Mubarak on behalf of the team and asked him to convey an invitation to the Indian team to play a game in Palestine.
