India drop six spots in the latest FIFA World Ranking

The Indian national football team has dropped six spots in the latest FIFA World Ranking released today.

Wim Koevermans’ team is now ranked a joined 154th in the world (31st in Asia) with 141 points to its account. Liechtenstein, Malaysia and Puerto Rico have the same number of points and they share the 154th rank with the Indian team.

Afghanistan remain the best team from the South Asian (SAFF) region ahead of India, the Maldives (163rd), Bangladesh (164th), Sri Lanka (169th), Nepal Pakistan (both 172nd) and Bhutan (207nd).

Spain continue to lead the last FIFA World Ranking of the year 2013 with 1507 points. Germany (2nd), Argentina (3rd), Colombia (4th) and Portugal (5th) complete the Top 5.

The next FIFA World Ranking will be released on January 16, 2014.
