The much anticipated 2nd edition of the 2014 Steadfast Mumbai Rush Soccer Champions League will kick-off on January 12.

The league is following up on the runaway success of the 1st edition, which happened to be a high adrenaline league consisting of Mumbai’s top 400 children. The kids were selected from over 1000 children by former United States Women’s national team coach Tim Schulz and Fr. Lawrence (FIFA Grassroot Coaches Instructor).

The winners of the 1st edition were presented with custom made trophies, while seven players from the U-10 to U-16 age groups were adjudged as the “Player of the Tournament”. They were awarded a training scholarship worth Rs.10 lakh.

Hamza, the most impressive player of the league, received training for six months in Mumbai, one month in Goa and one month in the USA. He is in the process of continuing his studies and football training in the US under Rush Soccer.

THE PRE-EVENT
• Inter School League with 400 players on January 9 and 16
• Elite School League with 240+ players on January 11

• Categories – Boys U-10 / U-12 / U-14 / U-17 and Girls U-12 / U-14
• Round Robin League
• MRSCL Division 1 – Entry by Selection – Pre-event tournament, Camps, Clinics etc.
• MRSCL Division 2 – Entry by open registration
• Individual as well as team registration for MRSCL Division 2
• Maximum ten players player per team
• Registration fees per player Rs. 650/- or team Rs. 6,000/-
• Each registered player will be provided with a team jersey, which is to be worn during the match

AWARDS
• the best player will receive free training for 15 days in the USA
• the second best player will receive free training for 15 days in Goa
• the best player in each age group category will receive free training for one year in Mumbai
