Former England and Manchester United captain Bryan Robson has confirmed his participation at the Soccerex Asian Forum due to take place on 13th & 14th May at Jordan’s leading conference venue, the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre, situated on the banks of The Dead Sea.

With development being a central theme at the conference, Robson will be able to discuss a number of issues including coaching, youth development and his experiences of coming through the ranks at club and a national level.

Nicknamed ‘Captain Marvel’ for his heroic performances in an England shirt, Robson was capped 90 times for England, including three consecutive World Cups in 1982, 1986, 1990, scoring 26 goals. He enjoyed similar success at Manchester United where he made 461 appearances for the club, becoming the longest serving captain in the club’s history, scoring 99 goals in the process.

Commenting on the Forum Robson said: “I have witnessed the growth of football in Asia through numerous visits to the continent during my career and as a Manchester United and Soccerex ambassador. It will however be my first trip to Jordan and I’m excited to learn more about this historic country and the great work being done by HRH Prince Ali Bin Al-Hussein and the Asian Football Development Project.”

Soccerex CEO Duncan Revie said: “Bryan’s a football icon and has a wealth of experience within the football industry both on and off the pitch. Having coached within Asia as well as the UK his contribution at the conference will be extremely valuable and as one of England’s and Manchester United’s all time greats, his involvement represents the level of speakers’ the Forum will be attracting.”
