Subrata Pal injured in his first match in Denmark

Subrata Pal picked up an injury in his first competitive match in Denmark, when he faced the FC Copenhagen Reserves with the FC Vestsjælland Reserves team on Monday [+ watch the full match].

The 16-member FC Vestsjælland Reserves side consisting mainly of various rerserve players from the first team including Subrata, several U-19 players and a few test players had a difficult match against the reserves side of one of Denmark’s most popular football clubs.

The match was played at the Parken Stadium, the home ground of FC Copenhagen and FCV Reserves coach Ulrik Balling had to settle for a heavy 1-5 defeat against “The Lions” [+ watch the full match].

Subrata displayed some fine saves despite conceding four goals in his debut for his new club. The Indian national team keeper had to be taken off after picking up an injury in the second half as his arm got stamped on while making a save [+ watch the full match].

The seriousness of the injury is yet to be communicated by the club, but it shouldn’t deny Subrata to be back on the pitch in a few days.
