Sunil Gulati, Indian origin President of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), is the latest federation leader to join the growing list of international football administrators attending the Soccerex Asian Forum taking place on 13th & 14th May at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre, situated on the banks of The Dead Sea, Jordan.

Unanimously re-elected to a record 3rd four-year term as USSF president earlier this month, Gulati is also a member of the game’s most important board, the FIFA Executive Committee. Integral to the successful growth of football in the United States across all platforms, Gulati will be at the Forum to speak on the league development and commercialisation panel, covering topics such as sponsorship, fan engagement, broadcasting rights and developing the administration side of the game at all levels.

Soccerex CEO Duncan Revie commented: “As one the most important administrators involved in football in the United States and if not the world, Sunil is one of the leading lights of football administration. It will be a pleasure to welcome him back to Soccerex and with America being the ‘inventors’ of sports marketing, Sunil’s business expertise and acumen will be invaluable at the Forum when it comes to the development of Asian football and the game’s commercial ties with the continent.”

Gulati’s participation sees the American football industry joining a multitude of nations who will be sending senior representatives to the Forum, including Jordan, Spain, England, Brazil, Qatar, Argentina, India, Singapore, Australia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Norway, Palestine, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Oman, Kyrgyzstan and Lebanon, to name a few.

The Forum, held in partnership with the Asian Football Development Project founded and chaired by HRH Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein, will bring together the leading figures from the world of Asian football as well as other international football experts to discuss the development of the game across Asia. The conference agenda will include a review of the opportunities for growth and the challenges facing Asian football.
