India go down two spots in FIFA World Ranking

The Indian national team has lost two spots in the latest FIFA World Ranking released today.

India is now ranked a joint 147th together with Singapore. Both teams have 144 points to their account to secure them a sport ahead of Puerto Rico, Liechtenstein and Guyana.

Afghanistan (128th) remain the best team from the SAFF (South Asian) region ahead of India, the Maldives (153th), Nepal (159th), Pakistan (159th), Bangladesh (162nd), Sri Lanka (173rd) and Bhutan (207th).

Spain (1st) and Germany (2nd) continue to lead the FIFA World Ranking, while Portugal climbed to the third spot. 2014 FIFA World Cup hosts Brazil (4th) and Colombia (5th) complete the Top 5.

Greece return to the Top 10 for the first time since October 2012, while Scotland (22nd) are the only team to have climbed over ten places.

The next FIFA World Ranking will be released on June 6.
