India drops seven spots in FIFA World Ranking

The Indian national team has dropped seven spots in the latest FIFA World Ranking released today. India is now ranked 154th in the world (28th in Asia) behind Malaysia (153rd) and ahead of Singapore (155th).

Afghanistan (130th) remains the best team from the SAFF region (South Asia), while the Maldives (147th) managed to get past India in the SAFF Ranking. Pakistan and Nepal are a joint 164th, while Bangladesh (167th), Sri Lanka (179th) and Bhutan (207th) complete the list.

Spain (1st) and Germany (2nd) remain at the top of the FIFA World Ranking, while 2014 FIFA World Cup hosts Brazil went up to third place. Portugal (4th), Argentina (5th), Switzerland (6th), Uruguay (7th), Colombia (8th), Italy (9th) and England (10th) complete the Top 10.
