The AIFF XI (India U-16) played out a goalless draw against wooden-spooners Home United FC in an U-16 Asian Champions Trophy match at the Bishan Stadium in Singapore on Saturday.

The U-16 Kalyani AIFF Regional Academy boys created a host of chances but failed to find the back of the net in a high intensity match.

Home United who were coming on the back of a good showing in their 1-2 reversal against Timor Leste U-16 national team defended deep and kept the boys in blue at bay for most parts of the match. But the colts under head coach Goutam Ghosh were left to rue their missed opportunities.

The boys are still without a win and face the same opponent next in their own backyard on June 21.

Both teams stay at the same positions courtesy the result with AIFF XI now having two points from five matches and the hosts finally opening their account with a point from the same number of games as the visitors.
