Soccerex and Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), the Brazilian higher education institution, have agreed to continue their relationship for the fourth year running with FGV becoming event supporters for the Soccerex Global Convention 2014, taking place 6-10 September in Manchester.

FGV will be hosting the third edition of the Sports Management FGV FIFA Master Alumni seminar in Rio de Janeiro on 2nd July. With speakers including Aldo Rebelo, Brazilian Sport Minister, and FIFA President, Joseph S. Blatter, the event will bring together renowned experts to discuss topics such as the World Cup impact in Brazilian football, Brazil’s preparations for the Olympics, the relationship between Sport and Education, International Sports Law Trends, Effects of Sports Globalization, Sports Organizations Social Responsibilities, among other important major sporting events and the development of the sports industry.

The FIFA Master Alumni have recently signed an MOU with Soccerex, which sees both sides identifying a collaborative approach in areas such as career development for the alumni. The arrangement also covers Soccerex’s participation during the FIFA Master’s curricular activities and cross promotion at events organised by the two organisations, including the Soccerex Global Convention and the FIFA Master Alumni Seminar.

FIFA Master/FGV Project Coordinator, Pedro Trengrouse, said: “The III Sports Management  FGV FIFA Masters Alumni Seminar, with the full support of Soccerex, happens in a very special moment, leveraging on the presence of key sports people in Brazil for the World Cup. The event will discuss important sports issues in modern society, and by taking on learning’s from this World Cup, will provide an opportunity to improve the standards of the 2016 Olympic Games and upcoming World Cups in Russia and Qatar. Anyone involved in sports must attend!”
