Soccerex are delighted to announce that Barney Francis, Managing Director at Sky Sports, will be speaking at this year’s Soccerex Global Convention, 6-10th September, Manchester.

Having been at the helm of Sky Sports, the UK and Ireland’s leading sports broadcaster, for five years, Barney will provide an exclusive insight into Sky Sports, its partnership with football and its usage of digital technologies to help educate and entertain.

Following his presentation, Francis will then be joining The Digital Consumption Of Football panel, which will bring together a mix of technology gurus, media experts and club figures to look at how digital media has revolutionised the way fans consume football, how clubs need to behave in the new digital age and will look at what developments the industry can expect over the next decade.

With an impressive career history spanning 17 years in the media, Francis has produced a range of live sports coverage, including Sky’s first exclusively live coverage of England’s domestic Tests, Premier League and UEFA Champions League. He’s responsible for Sky Sports’ output across seven sports channels including Sky Sports News HD and the new Sky Sports 5, as well as online and mobile content.

The Soccerex Global Convention kicks off with the Football Festival on 6-7th September, with the conference starting on Monday 8th September.
