Done beating age group boys, the 2014 Incheon Asian Games bound India Women’s national team chalked up a comprehensive 3-0 trounce over the senior boys of the IFS Academy in another friendly match at the Cooperage Stadium in Mumbai.

First half goals from Bala Devi (27th), Kamala Devi (37th) and a second half addition from Indumati (76th) ensured the girls maintained their winning streak in matches played on weekends during their 45-day training camp in Mumbai ahead of the all important Asian Games this September.

The two-time SAFF winning team started from where they had left off in the last match against Colaba U-19 Academy dominating play in all departments. Head coach Tarun Roy rotated his team giving all campers a run in.

The match was 27 minutes old when a raking pass from the right found Bala who did no harm to her reputation of a goal poacher by firing home from an acute angle.

Ten minutes on it was Kamala’s turn to get on the scoresheet after she combined well with iconic footballer Bembem Devi to work some space at the edge of the box. Riding on a superb back-flick from Bemvem, Kamala slammed the ball into the back of the net with ease.

The sides went into the break with the women leading 2-0.

Post the breather, it was again one way traffic and in the last quarter it was 3-0. Youngster Indumati scored a goal rounding the keeper to slot home.
