Continuing with its endeavor to make football as one of the country’s flagship sport and to leverage its association with Barclays Premier League in bringing the best practices in India, officials of IMG-Reliance and Star India, the organizers of the Hero Indian Super League (ISL), along with its eight participating club representatives are visiting London for a five-day workshop, commencing from 29th April 2015.

The 23-member Indian Super League contingent will first visit the Premier League headquarter followed by the offices of three clubs ie Arsenal FC, Crystal Palace FC and West Bromwich Albion FC under the exchange programme to explore the latter’s expertise in nurturing and growing a high quality football competition.

The workshop will feature knowledge sharing sessions and discussions on various topics such as Premier League Structure & Governance, Branding, Youth Development & Academies, Community Development, Fan Engagements, Club Organization and Communications.

Commenting on the initiative, Nita Ambani, Chairperson, Football Sports Development Limited said, “We are delighted to have established strong relationship with Premier League to promote and bring in the best practices to India. Premier League Chief Executive Richard Scudamore along with his officials Nic Coward (General Secretary), Richard Masters (Director Sales & Marketing), Ged Roddy (Director of Youth) and Simon Morgan (Head of Community Development) will be meeting the ISL delegation along with the three club officials over the next five days.

The highly interactive workshop will conclude with the Manchester United versus West Bromwich Albion FC match on Saturday, 2nd May at Old Trafford, Manchester.
