Royal Wahingdoh FC goalkeeper Laishram Premkumar Singh has been called in as a replacement for Arindam Bhattacharya in the 38-member probables list for India’s back to back 2018 FIFA World Cup and 2019 AFC Asian Cup Preliminary Joint Qualifiers against Oman and Guam respectively.

Premkumar has been summoned by National Coach Stephen Constantine for his “inspiring performances” in the Hero I-League after Bharat FC goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya suffered an injury in the ongoing edition of the league.

India play their first match against Oman at the Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on June 11 while the next match against Guam will be played on June 16. India have been clubbed in Group D along with Iran, Oman, Turkmenistan and Guam.

The list of 38 probables would be trimmed down to 26 after May 31 before the Preperatory Camp in Bengaluru kicks-off.
