India probables announced for World Cup qualifier against Iran

Indian national team coach Stephen Constantine announced the list of 28 probables for India’s forthcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup and 2019 AFC Asian Cup Preliminary Joint Qualifier against Iran.

Iran, as per the July 2015 FIFA World Rankings, stay the highest Asian team on 38.

The match is slated to be played at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on September 8, 2015 and would be telecast live on Sony Six.

The 28 probables would be assembling for a preparatory camp in Pune on August 23.

The match against Iran will be preceded by an International Friendly against Nepal on August 31. The match against Nepal will be played at the Balewadi Stadium in Pune.

Stephen Constantine has recalled Karanjit Singh, Arindam Bhattacharya, Pritam Kotal, Aiborlang Khongjee, Narayan Das, Pronoy Halder, and Romeo Fernandes to the squad, while Rowlin Borges and Brandon Fernandes get their first call-ups.

Meanwhile Laishram Prem Kumar Singh, Gurwinder Singh, Reagan Singh, Augustin Fernandes, Mohammed Rafique, Saityasen Singh and Mandar Rao Dessai have been left out of the last squad which had played Oman and Guam.
