The Audi Cup 2015 featuring a high-profile line-up namely hosts FC Bayern Munich, Real Madrid CF, AC Milan and Tottenham Hotspur concluded on Wednesday.
Hosts FC Bayern Munich lifted the trophy at the 4th edition of the tournament with a 1-0 win against Real Madrid in the final played in front of a full capacity crowd at the Allianz Arena in Munich. Robert Lewandowski scored the lone goal of the match in the 88th minute, when the Poland international put a Douglas Costa freekick past Real goalkeeper Keylor Navas.
Meanwhile Tottenham Hotspur finished off their Audi Cup campaign with a 2-0 win against AC Milan in the 3rd Place Match earlier in the evening. Nacer Chadli (8′) and Tom Carroll (71′) found the back of the net for the Premership side.
The Audi Cup is a biennial tournament organised by German automobile manufacturer Audi at Munich’s Allianz Arena. Bayern Munich have won the tournament twice (2009, 2013 and 2015), while FC Barcelona claimed the silverware in 2011.
