I-League champions Mohun Bagan AC have signed Kean Lewis for the 2015-16 season. Kean is a former student and player of Mumbai’s Premier India Football Academy (PIFA).

PIFA recognised the talent of this young prodigy at the PIFA International Camp in Goa in 2005. He was a regular student at the PIFA Bandra Center for four years.

Kean was the winner of the skills contest held at the PIFA Champions Tour to Manchester in 2005 and was India’s second representative at the Bobby Charlton Soccer School – Skills Finale held in December 2005. He also attended the PIFA CHAMPIONS TOUR to AC Milan in 2006 where once again he won the best player.

PIFA also organised a trial for the youngster at English side Leicester City FC at the age of 13, in 2006.

In 2009, Kean captained the PIFA Colaba FC U-17 team that was invited to play a FIFA recognised tournament in South Africa, the Gauteng Future Champions. One of his teammates was Bengaluru FC’s Karan Sawhney.

Kean continued his career in the United States when he joined the Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) with a scholarship in 2010. He then continued with the U-23 team of MLS outfit Houston Dynamo, besides a short spell at Mexican 2nd Division side Internacional de Acapulco Fútbol Club.
