India remains 56th in FIFA Women’s World Ranking

The Indian Women’s national team has maintained its spot in the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking released today (September 25, 2015).

India is ranked 56th (11th in Asia) with 1425 points, just eleven points behind Croatia and one point ahead of Israel.

The Indian Women’s team stays the strongest team from  the South Asian (SAFF) region, ahead of Nepal (119th), Bangladesh (128th), Sri Lanka (129th), Maldives (133rd), Pakistan (135th) and Bhutan (144th).

Meanwhile there have been no changes to the top of the FIFA Women’s World Ranking. USA (1st, 2189 points), Germany (2nd, 2115 points) and France (3rd, 2083 points) keep the Top 3 spots, while Japan (4th) remains the strongest team from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

The next FIFA Women’s World Ranking will be released on December 18, 2015.
