India to face Laos in AFC Asian Cup 2019 Qualifiers

The Indian national team will face Laos in the AFC Asian Cup 2019 Qualifiers Play-off Round I. The draw for the AFC Asian Cup 2019 Qualifiers Play-off Round was conducted at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia today.

India will first travel to Laos for the first leg on June 2, while the second leg would be played at home on June 7.

A total of eleven countries ranked 29th to 39th respectively after the 2018 FIFA World Cup / 2019 AFC Asian Cup joint qualifiers will contest in the AFC Asian Cup 2019 Qualifiers Play-offs, which will be played over two rounds, Play-off I and Play-off II.

The winners of Play-off Iwill advance to the AFC Asian Cup UAE 2019 Qualifiers Final Round, while the losing teams will join the team ranked 39th (Bhutan) in Play-off II. The winners of Play-off II will join the other teams in the Qualifiers Final Round.

India would face the loser of the Maldives v Yemen encounter in Play-off II on September 6 and October 11, if Stephen Constantines team fail to defeat Laos.
