Defending Indian Super League champions ATK yesterday announced the signing of English midfielder Conor Thomas ahead of the ISL – Season 4.

23 year old Coventry-born Conor Thomas started his football at local side Coventry City, where he also made his professional debut. In january 2011 he made a loan move to Liverpool FC but never played for the first team and after some appearances for the reserves and an injury, Conor returned to Coventry City and stay with them until June 2016.

Last season, 2016/17, Conor joined fellow League One side Swindon Town making 35 league appearances and scoring one goal.

ATK principal owner Sanjiv Goenka said about Conor Thomas in a press release, “A strong midfielder, Thomas will add support to the team. We at ATK welcome Thomas to don the ATK colours. We wish him all the success and I hope we will get to see fine quality football.”

“Being a part of ATK will be a great experience for me. I am looking forward to a great experience under the able guidance of coach Teddy Sheringham and Technical Director Ashley Westwood,” Thomas added, who has been picked by ATK manager Teddy Sheringham.
